Sam Wilson is a former U.S. Air Force pararescueman who uses a mechanized flight harness, the EXO-7 Falcon, giving him aerial combat and reconnaissance capability without superhuman strength of his own. A close friend and ally of Steve Rogers, he was entrusted with Rogers' vibranium shield and took up the mantle of Captain America, a role he later underscored by receiving a set of enhanced vibranium wings and shield from Wakanda.
