Rogue is a mutant who absorbs the memories, abilities, and life force of anyone she touches skin-to-skin, an uncontrollable power that has made physical contact with others a source of danger for most of her life. She has, at times, temporarily gained flight and superhuman strength by holding contact with other powered mutants, and fights alongside the X-Men despite the isolation her ability forces on her.
