Odin is the All-Father and former king of Asgard, father to both Thor and Hela, whose centuries of conquest across the Nine Realms he later concealed from his family in favor of a more peaceful legacy. Having exiled Thor to Earth to teach him humility and stripped Loki's knowledge of his true frost giant parentage, he died peacefully on Earth, an event that inadvertently freed his long-imprisoned firstborn, Hela.
