Cletus Kasady is a serial killer on death row who shares a cell block with Eddie Brock during an interview, and bites him hard enough to draw blood -- and, unknowingly, a piece of the Venom symbiote along with it. The fragment bonds to Kasady and grows into Carnage, a symbiote more violent and less restrained than Venom itself, and the two fight through San Francisco as Cletus tries to free his girlfriend Frances Barrison from custody.
