Aldrich Killian

Aldrich Killian is a scientist and the founder of Advanced Idea Mechanics who developed Extremis, an experimental treatment that grants recipients regenerative healing and the ability to generate and control intense heat, at the cost of instability that can cause some subjects to explode. He staged terrorist attacks under the invented persona of the Mandarin to cover for Extremis test failures and to extort the U.S. government, before facing Tony Stark directly.
